Pete's Garden works with food donors, volunteers, social service agencies and community partners to turn surplus food into practical family support.
Feeding It Onward
in Kansas City
Pete's Garden turns unserved, surplus prepared food into hearty, take home meals for families. This mission supports the EPA Feed It Onward vision of reducing food waste while strengthening communities.

Good food belongs on family tables, not in landfills.
The EPA’s Feed It Onward initiative spotlights farms, businesses, nonprofits, and communities that recover good food and direct it to people who can use it. Pete’s Garden brings that idea to life locally by making food donation simple, safe, and impactful for food service partners.
We collect high-quality, unserved prepared food, portion it into ready-to-heat family meals, and deliver those meals through trusted Kansas City social service agencies.
